    2016-05-01 09.57.08-1I had hoped to gush over the waffles and coffee at Elevated, but right before we ordered their waffle maker died. The kids and I were very disappointed. I still enjoyed their coffee, but we wanted waffles! This was coffee shop #30. I’ll do a final review next week. #pdxcoffeehunt

    2016-04-29 16.08.33I’ve been to the Case Study on Sandy, but not to the one on Alberta (1422 NE Alberta) and I have to say the one on Alberta is far superior. It has good coffee and a fantastic loft seating area. I could definitely come back here to work.

    2016-04-28 14.47.52Located right next to PCC (740 N Killingsworth St) this is clearly a college hangout. The interior is spacious and the coffee reasonable. I did feel a little out of place not being of college going age, but if I was back in school, I could see myself coming here.

    The only good thing I have to say about the J Cafe is that the coffee didn’t make me sick like it did at Gold Rush. The rapidly renovating Lloyd district is clearly ready for a good coffee shop to come in.

    2016-04-25 17.13.09I’m in Denver at the moment so my #pdxcoffeehunt is temporarily on hold until I’m back in Portland, however to keep up the momentum, here’s a cute little shop mysteriously called Pigtrain Coffee in Union Station in Denver’s LoDo district. Good coffee as well!

    2016-04-21 14.21.32So I shouldn’t like this place, but it somehow captures the neighborhood coffee shop vibe in a way most others don’t. Located at 435 NE Rosa Parks Way, it’s definitely off the beaten path, and with decent seating and good coffee it felt very comfortable to me.

    4. Super clean

    Located at 2710 N Killingsworth, I just wish it was closer to my house!

    2016-04-19 10.18.22Working at Heart today which has been on my list to try for a long time. Great seating and location (2211 E Burnside) to work. My only complaint is the coffee which has an oilier, bitter flavor similar to Coava. I do not understand the bitter coffee movement. #pdxcoffeehunt
