I like the new camera button on the iPhone but I wish it was a little higher up on the side of the phone. It feels like it was designed for landscape photography, but most of my pictures are portrait.
One thing I’m really enjoying about the new iPhone is how much softer and less harsh it feels in your hand. The edges are less sharp and it just feels better.

Futura Coffee was a nice find in an area of NE Portland I don’t get to often. The interior was pleasant with plenty of space to work. I didn’t love the coffee but it wasn’t terrible. That being said, Mudd Works is just down the street and I would probably pick that over Futura.

Hello there!
Hello from iOS 18…
I found this today and it just about brings me to tears each time I read it. She’s 22 now. ❤️
Did you know that there is a replica of Stonehenge on the Columbia Gorge in Washington? It’s a WWI war memorial.
I was fortunate to get to enjoy the very brief return of Pok Pok to Portland. Had a great evening with my wife and her parents.
This is 50.
I’m not sure what to say about KISS Coffee. It’s definitely quirky. All orders are taken at a window outside, but they have both indoor and outdoor seating. They also close REALLY early and have strange hours. The coffee is fine, but unless you live in the neighborhood, this is probably one to skip.

Red E Cafe is a bit of a retro spot. I didn’t mind it, but it did feel a bit grubby inside. The coffee was decent as was the seating. In a pinch I could work here, but there are better places nearby.
I just read that one of my fellow PNW citizens has been murdered in the West Bank. I am equally sad and angry.
I struggle whether or not to put Orange and Blossom into the coffee shop category because they have limited actual coffee options, but what they do have is lovely. And the interior is beautiful and their pastries are amazing. Would I come here to work? Absolutely! So I’ll allow it.
If you ride the Max down Interstate avenue, and you like good coffee and Mexican donuts, you definitely should check out La Perlita! The interior is cute, quirky and has ample seating - it’s a great place to get some work done. Because of the location though, I definitely advise using mass transit.
I’m now 1/3 of the way through my 30 Days of Coffee Shops 2.0!!! It’s been a great activity to push me out of my rut and routine and explore new places. I’ve definitely found a number of new-to-me gems.
I’ve driven by See See Motor Coffee many times but have never stopped in. Boy have I been missing out! This place is really cool, has great coffee and is an awesome place to hang out and work. Loved it!
Glizzy at the coast…
I love the Oregon coast.
There’s a lot to like about No Preference Coffee. The staff is super friendly, the coffee is quite good and there is ample seating for remote working. However, there was a slight grungy-ness that put me off somewhat. I certainly will put this in my “to go” rotation, though.
