• Dominayton indeed.

  • When I used to play Counter-Strike, I would occasionally find myself on a server with some adolescent idiot that thought it was hilarious to sit at their own spawn site and take out their own teammates as they respawned.

That’s who Elon reminds me of.

  • I don’t understand how exactly we always manage to beat the Bucks, but I’ll gladly take the W. I do miss Dame though.

  • Tonight is the annual “Dame Game.” Very excited to watch it. Brings up all the feels for me.

  • I know this beautiful weather won’t last so trying to enjoy it while it’s here. 🏃

  • No eggs at Trader Joe’s.

  • Did a training run for the Shamrock in March. Feeling prettyy good so far. I usually run alone so it was a really nice change to run in a group. 🏃

  • So glad to see Donovan Clingan back in the lineup. He’s so much better at setting screens than Ayton or Nurkic. It’s downright refreshing.

  • If you can find parking or are able to walk to Nova Coffee you’ll find a small, comfortable spot with pretty decent drinks. I’m not sure how often I would come here given its location, but if you live in any of the condos currently being thrown up around it, it’s probably a great go-to.

  • I just watched the end of the Blazer game tonight and I just don’t understand this team. So Jekyll and Hyde! Good thing I’m not into sports gambling because these guys are 100% unpredictable. Glad for another win on the road though!

  • Can you guess what’s in the box?

  • Back in the gym today.

  • As a person with an emerging hearing impairment, I have learned that silence isn’t a lack of sound. It’s just my inability to hear the noises being made.

  • In other news, there are 2 plumbers and a plaster repair guy here today working on two different problems. Hooray for old houses!

  • On Intentionality

I’ve always been a big fan of taking slow measured approaches to decisions and actions. I think a lot of this stems from being raised on X-Men comics.

I remember distinctly, as a middle-schooler that the plot of many of my favorite issues revolved around dilemmas Wolverine or Rogue or Cyclops would experience when they made the “obvious” right choice, only to find out there were terrible side effects to that choice. It really instilled in me a desire to be cautious when acting, not out of fear, but to really truly consider as many aspects of the problem as possible. Sometimes we can’t see all the angles of the thing we’re looking at.

Some of us feel we can act quickly and know what the best choice/action is. But some of us feel a need to go more slowly; to be more intentional. We are all people. Most of us are out here trying our hardest to be the best versions of ourselves, and to do the right thing.

Whether you act quickly or whether you act more intentionally, it is my sincerest hope that we can offer the grace to each other to do both.

  • All of the fighting on the platform the past couple days is very unfortunate. My friend is probably the kindest person I’ve ever met, and it is that kindness itself that is being misunderstood and attacked. It’s always a tragedy when people use beautiful tools to cause harm. We need more grace.

  • Got a good 10k in today. Weather was fantastic for it!

  • When I was young, we loaded computer games onto our Vic-20 by from cassette tapes. It took so long that we tried to queue them up right before lunchtime so they would be ready as soon as we finished eating. This reminds me of that…

  • Who else on Micro.blog is an NBA/basketball junkie? My currently (very short) list is: @combatdavey @skoobz and @manton

I know there have to be more.

  • A beautiful day for a run today! I miscalculated my route slightly and came up short on the 10k. 🤷‍♂️

  • As an oat milk drinker, I had high hopes for dairy free Jet Black Coffee. Unfortunately, it was one of the worse lattes that I’ve had on this 30 shop quest. The interior is fairly nice and spacious, but it was pretty hard to get over the taste of my drink. I was definitely disappointed.

  • Breakfast at Dos Hermanos is amazing!

  • I met Terry Porter last night! He was so affable and approachable. He represents the Blazers amazingly well.

  • One of my goals this year is to work harder to not let perfect be the enemy of good. The Japanese have a concept called “kaizen” which means continual improvement, and I want to strive for that rather than trying to fix everything in a single effort.

  • Was able to meet Channing Frye last night and hear his thoughts on the current Blazers roster and future prospects. And then after the game he REALLY said what he was thinking. I guess our defense was humili-ayton…
